Customize Your Shutters with Options like Craftsman Shutter Frames in Boise

Every so often we’ll hear a Boise homeowner claim “all shutters look the same.” Let’s eliminate any misconception – those claims couldn’t be further from reality.

Many people aren’t aware of just how many options you have when it comes to interior plantation shutters in Boise, and the impact those options can have. One of the most important of those options is the frame style you choose for your shutters.

Boise Custom Shutter Frames

The options available to you for shutter frames will depend on:

  • How your window operates.

  • The depth of the window sill.

  • Whether you’ll have an outside mount or inside mount.

  • Your own personal taste and design.

A few of our shutter frames are offered only in certain materials, like our Polywood® faux wood shutters, some are exclusive to an inside or outside mount of a window, and some will have a look that may blend in perfectly with your existing trim, like our Craftsman frame shutters, perfect for Craftsman style homes and only offered by Sunburst.

Let’s take a look at some of our most popular shutter frames among Boise homeowners.

Craftsman Frame Shutters - You can’t open a Better Homes and Gardens without seeing Craftsman style. This Sunburst-exclusive frame was built specifically for Craftsman style homes and homes with similar aesthetics. A Craftsman frame gives you a clean and simple look, so no part of your home looks gaudy compared to the rest. If utilizing Craftsman fashion is your desire, this is the frame for you. Currently available in Polywood and reclaimed wood shutters only.

L-Frame Shutters - An L-frame is possibly the least complex and most practical frame we offer. They have a sleek, modern look, and are usually the easiest to work around if your window has a peculiar size or shape. The L-frame can be used as either an inside or outside mount, if you’d like to keep your existing window trim in place, and is available in all of our different shutter types.

Z-Frame Shutters - Z-frames are a popular choice because they give you a chic, elegant look on your window, much like bass or crown molding. The name “Z-frame” comes from the shape of its exterior, which is mounted on the inside of the window jamb, but hugs the jamb and extends to the outside making a “Z” figure. That extended shape makes it so you don’t even need window trim around the window. Z-frames are available in for all of our shutter products.

Decorative Frame Shutters - A decorative frame has a lot going on in the style department. With lots of texture and an attention-grabbing shape, this frame is best used when you have no existing window trim, or if you want to cover your existing trim. Decorative frames are available in Polywood faux wood and Ovation hardwood shutters.
